Marseille's barquettes, emblems of the city's maritime life, embody the Mediterranean's rich naval heritage. Modest in size, they evoke the traditional craftsmanship of marine carpenters. It's in these boats that we find the roots of Marseille's barquettes, also known as barqueto in Provençal and Italian. The skills inherited from marine carpenters have given birth to boats such as Coco, Gigi and 4 Gabians.
